| Q: What causes errors when doing a query, hanging when printing, or lockups in other screens? |
| A: Sometimes it can be a simple problem with the Windows environment (most notably Window 95, 98, and Me), and a simple restart or shutdown/restart will clear it up. If it happens often, then the most likely cause is corruption of one of the main databases. Make sure you have the latest version (available on our website) installed. If you have the latest version, have run file maintenance and the data integrity check with no errors, then you'll want to contact our Tech Support staff at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . They will probably direct you to send us up to 3 files that may have been corrupted. We can remove corruption from those files, usually with no loss of data, otherwise with a minimal loss of data. (You have been faithfully making backups of your data for just this occasion, haven't you??) |
