Building donor loyalty on facebook

It's my pleasure to read the FundRaiser facebook newsfeed everyday. In it are the status updates of  organizations that use FundRaiser. I am always looking for interesting examples of how nonprofits use facebook to accomplish their mission. Today, I saw a cover photo that really got my attention because it targets exactly the people you are trying to reach with your facebook page-- your donors (and that does includes your volunteers, too). To me, this is an excellent way to use that important piece of 'acreage' on the facebook page.

Building donor loyalty by thanking your donors and showing you appreciate them is basic to fundraising. When you can find ways to do that through any of your communication channels, be they facebook, email, newsletters, or at a fundraising dinner, you are doing the most basic fundraising work anyone can do. (And by the way, this cover photo is from a Fundraiser Professional user, but nothing stops you from doing this just as well as anyone.)
